Jesus Christ is at the center of our campus life. Every morning we gather in our chapel for a morning devotion given by one of our staff members. We also have a weekly chapel service led by a local pastor or special guest speaker who address our students on topics that are relevant to teenagers today. Spiritual mentorship is provided by each of our trained staff members. Students are required to take Bible courses which focus on the “basics” rather than any one denominational viewpoint. Students mature in their faith through involement in our campus Bible studies which are often led by one of our students and in our elective leadership class. Because we believe that developing compassion for those in need is a critical component of spiritual maturity (Matthew 25), community service is a priority at Anchorpoint. One such outing is our annual trip to the San Francisco Rescue Mission where we supervise the students as they serve the less fortunate (many of whom are children). We also serve at a local senior citizen center, various community improvement projects and work in our community garden. It is our sincere desire that students have every opportunity to develop a personal relationship with Jesus Christ. It is our highest priority.
